![]() ![]() Perhaps a conflict with one of the other utilities/drivers/programs running in the background. One minor problem is it seems to cause my explorer to crash every now and then when I try to invoke a sandbox on my 64-bit system (Win 7). I'm glad I paid to have use of all its features and can't imagine being without it. Although Shadow Defender does take up a small amount they seem to have some algorithm that prevents disk usage from becoming excessive. The "free" programs will "eat up" your disk space and some change your MBR. Deep Freeze was my favorite but they have an annual fee now. ![]() #Sandboxie crash freeAlthough not free it more than makes up for the cost by being low maintenance. #Sandboxie crash updateHopefully a new update will fix it if nothing seems to work.My preferred program to avoid problems you described is Shadow Defender. I have deleted the key folder for GiantArmy and also tried changing the resolution values in the Reg editor (after deleting giant army and going on the game) and the problem still persists. On Linux, PlayerPrefs can be found in ~/.config/unit圓d/GiantArmy/UniverseSandbox again using the company and product names specified in the Project Settings. You can access it by typing in Regedit in the search area of the start menu. If you need help with the registry, just let me know. You can delete the key folder for GiantArmy, and it will remove all the subkeys as well. On Windows, PlayerPrefs are stored in the registry under HKCU\Software\GiantArmy\UniverseSandox\ plist file and it will be rebuilt when you restart the game. #Sandboxie crash mac os xOn Mac OS X PlayerPrefs are stored in ~/Library/Preferences folder, in a file named (The name may be slightly different). Those are stored outside the game's directory, so they're not cleaned up if you delete the directory manually. ![]() Typically if the game was working fine, but now it's having an issue, even after a re-install, there's a bad setting in the game's configuration files. Sorry you're running into crashes, we've been at PAX all week, so I haven't had time to check the forums and support as much as normal. Maybe the next update will solve your crashes. When I was a part of the US2 Closed Alpha, the devs had updated frequently, had a new version every month or so. I think it may be a problem with saving simulations as the last thing i did on Us2 was save a simulation.Īh, okay then. Yeah ive got fans on my PC, and ive left it off for 12 hours, its definitely cooler than the last time i played the game, and it still doesnt work. Two fans are usually good because one can be used at the front to suck cool air into the case, then have one in the back to push it out. Simply installing a fan for your case can drastically cut down on heat by blowing hot air away from components. The closed loop coolers looke like this (they also go on the CPU for cooling): #Sandboxie crash driversWhat are your specs? Do you have the latest drivers for your GPU? Overheating is always a possibility, as it could cause system instability, which may explain why the game ran yesterday and not today.ĭo you have any fans installed in your PC? A CPU fan? Case fans? Closed loop watercooler? Well, it could be anything, even my computer heating up possibly, hopefully tommorow it works. Who knows, maybe your crash problem will be fixed when another update comes out. Or, another way to ask is when you see one of them in here, you could ask them directly. The devs do come onto Steam forums, so they may see this if it doesn't get pushed down too far. ![]()
